It's been a busy time lately. After recovering from a severe flu in December and managing a heavy workload in my law practice since the start of the year, I took a break from my blog. However, I've surfaced momentarily and wanted to share some important news: my second manuscript, Huldufólk —A Modern Icelandic Folktale, is complete. I've finished my initial edits and will soon send it out for beta reading. The story is terrific, and I'm confident everyone who reads it will agree.

From the 17th century to the modern day, Huldufólk weaves a tapestry of love, loss, and resilience, following the elves of Búrfell as they battle the vengeful Draugr of Hekla—a sorcerer-turned-revenant whose hatred knows no bounds. Amid volcanic eruptions and shifting allegiances, Ásgeir, a wise elder, leads a desperate fight to seal the creature away, even as distrust and old wounds threaten to divide the elves. But magic alone cannot save them. The answer may lie in the unlikeliest places: breaking their isolation, seeking new blood, and forging bonds with humans—no matter the cost.
The novel spans generations, exploring the fragile balance between preserving tradition and survival while following the fates of those who dare to defy the past. Among the characters are Elara, a half-elven woman caught between two worlds; Rhys, a grieving volcanologist with hidden connections to the elves; and Eirikur, an elf grappling with love, duty, and self-acceptance. Their lives become intertwined as ancient prophecies unfold, revealing that the Draugr's curse may never have been truly defeated.
In a world where myth and reality collide, Huldufólk is a haunting and lyrical tale of destiny, sacrifice, and the enduring power of love. As the past echoes into the present, the elves must decide: will they fade into legend or fight to reclaim their future?
